Beloved: Remember Who You Are…
God has “made you to be a kingdom and priest- to serve our God, and to reign on the earth” - Revelation 5:10
There are moments when the world tells a woman who she must be.
Moments when pain, betrayal, loss, or shame try to rename her.
Moments when the mirror reflects exhaustion instead of beauty, survival instead of softness, strength forged through necessity rather than delight.
And yet—
before any voice ever spoke over you,
before any wound ever marked you,
before any role was placed upon your shoulders—
God named you.
“I have called you by name; you are Mine.”
— Isaiah 43:1
At Soma•Vida, we return again and again to this holy Truth:
Your identity is not formed by what happened to you.
It is anchored in Who holds you.
You Are Known — Fully and Tenderly
You are not overlooked in heaven.
You are not misunderstood by God.
There is no part of you He avoids, rushes, or dismisses.
“O Lord, You have searched me and known me…
You discern my thoughts from afar.”
— Psalm 139:1–2
Even the parts you struggle to understand—
the places where words fail,
the memories stored in the body,
the ache you carry quietly—
He knows them all.
“Before a word is on my tongue,
You, Lord, know it completely.”
— Psalm 139:4
You do not need to perform clarity for God.
You do not need to tidy your pain before approaching Him.
You are already known—and still deeply loved.
You Are Chosen — Not as an Afterthought
You were not chosen because you were strong enough.
You were chosen because God is good and He loves you.
“He chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world,
that we should be holy and blameless before Him in love.”
— Ephesians 1:4
Chosen before the wound.
Chosen before the failure.
Chosen before the betrayal.
Your life is not an accident of timing or circumstance.
“For we are God’s workmanship,
created in Christ Jesus for good works,
which God prepared beforehand.”
— Ephesians 2:10
There is intention woven into your story—even where it feels broken.
You Are Held — Especially in Weakness
Many women learn early how to be strong.
But the gospel does not ask you to prove resilience.
It invites you into rest.
“Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened,
and I will give you rest.”
— Matthew 11:28
God is not disappointed by your fatigue.
He does not withdraw when your knees tremble.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
— Psalm 34:18
There is holiness in your softness.
There is safety in letting yourself be carried.
“Underneath are the everlasting arms.”
— Deuteronomy 33:27
You Are Redeemed — Not Defined by What Was Done to You
What wounded you does not get the final word.
What was taken does not cancel what God restores.
“In Him we have redemption through His blood,
the forgiveness of sins,
according to the riches of His grace.”
— Ephesians 1:7
Jesus does not rush past your pain to reach resurrection.
He enters it.
“He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds.”
— Psalm 147:3
Nothing is wasted—not the tears, not the waiting, not the wrestling.
“The Lord will restore the years the locust has eaten.”
— Joel 2:25
You Are Safe — Watched Over, Not Exposed
Fear may whisper that you are vulnerable and unprotected.
But Scripture speaks a stronger truth.
“The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make His face shine upon you.”
— Numbers 6:24–26
God is not distant from your daily life.
He watches. He guards. He tends.
“The Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.”
— Psalm 121:8
You are not alone in the dark.
You are not unseen in the waiting.
“The Lord is my light and my salvation—
whom shall I fear?”
— Psalm 27:1
You Are Becoming — Gently, Faithfully
Healing is not linear.
Becoming is not rushed.
God does not shame the pace of your growth.
“Being confident of this,
that He who began a good work in you
will carry it on to completion.”
— Philippians 1:6
You are allowed to unfold slowly.
You are allowed to grieve and hope at the same time.
“Those who wait for the Lord
shall renew their strength.”
— Isaiah 40:31
A Blessing for the Woman Reading This
May you rest in being beloved, not busy.
May you feel held where you once felt alone.
May peace settle not only in your thoughts, but in your body.
“Now may the Lord of peace Himself
give you peace at all times and in every way.”
— 2 Thessalonians 3:16
And may you remember—again and again—
who you are in Christ.
“See what great love the Father has lavished on us,
that we should be called children of God.
And that is what we are.”
— 1 John 3:1
Soma•Vida Reflection | Returning to Who You Are
Take a moment to settle your body.
Let your shoulders soften.
Place one hand over your heart, or wherever you feel most present.
Invite the Holy Spirit with simple honesty:
“Jesus, meet me here.”
Reflect
• Which truth from this reflection felt most comforting or anchoring to you today?
• Was there a word or verse that stirred emotion, resistance, or deep peace?
• Where in your life do you most need to remember who you are in Christ—not who you’ve had to be?
Listen
Without striving, ask:
“Lord, how do You see me right now?”
Notice what arises—
an image, a Scripture, a sense of warmth or calm, or simply stillness.
There is no “right” experience. God speaks gently and uniquely to each heart.
Receive
If it feels safe, speak this aloud or silently:
“I receive Your truth about who I am.”
Allow your body to respond.
Breath may deepen. Tears may come. Peace may settle slowly.
Close
End with gratitude, even if it’s just one quiet word:
“Thank You.”
“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10
